…back in the swing…
…wow…it’s been a while since I last posted…well for me anyway. We had vacation, and then went back out of town again. Life has just been wizzing by. We have a couple of new additions to our family…I let the kids play the “throw the ball in the fish bowl” game at Homecomers thinking there was no way they would win. I was wrong. Stella named her goldfish Michelle (LOL) and Luke named his Joe after his Fort Wayne buddy.
I have photographed 9 girls and 2 boys in the last 6 days. 3 siblings, one cousin, 2 seniors, and a group of bff’s who are about to head off to college.
I think Katie Perry needs to eat her words about California girls being the best…these Missouri girls are the proof!!!! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…we breed em good here in Missouri!
and these kiddos…they all had the most ridiculously beautiful blue eyes…

…gray…
…all day it is has been on the verge of stormy weather…if you looked out the window there were dark clouds to the east, west, north, and south…yet it never rained.
…kinda like my mood today…on the verge of a major storm…
…just a lot of little incidentals that add up to one big “SCREAM”…
…but this afternoon the rain finally did come down and the kids and I splashed and laughed and played in it for as long as the sun would let us…
…SO…MUCH…FUN…
so many times I thought “man I should run in and get my camera”…but you know what I didn’t…
…doing so would take me out of the fun equation…and sometimes I have to remind myself I am a mommy first and photograher second and actually allow myself to be “in” the moment.
I did take mental pictures though
I wonder if they will remember our “rain dances” when they are older?…sigh…

Amy, Jordan, and Rose came all the way from West Plains, Arakansas for their family shoot! Amy is a fabo photog down that way!! I sure hope they thought it was worth it!! I just adore these shots!!
Oh and other fun news!!! My styled wedding shoot from a few weeks back was featured on the fabulous Elizabeth Anne Blog!! How cool is that???

…that time of year again…
…and I couldn’t welcome it more!!! Had such a busy week I can’t even share it all in one blog post…babies, and toddlers, and couples…OH MY…
I’ll just get right down to it…I had two precious newborns this week and they BOTH had the most darling names…Lola and Isla…Parents are getting real good with the baby naming…real good…it makes me happy. Without futher ado…
Meet Lola…is that toe shot not the sweetest thing?…next to Lola of course…;)
and then her (soon to be best friend)…precious Isla…and I actually don’t think they live too far apart…
and then this little family was so darn sweet. Mom and Dad were dressed so perfectly to compliment little Adeline (yes, another fantastic name) and her dress. Everyone knows I am partial to curly headed kids and this little one was after my own heart…
Next was this gorgeous couple…we weren’t sure this session was going to happen…but alas it did…and I am so glad for it…thank you Mother Nature 
Lejla is planning the wedding all the way from Miami…come to think of it…5 of my brides are planning weddings here from far way places…see St. Louis really does rock!!!

This next series says just about everything about them…loving, playful, and a wee bit cheeky…btw…the dictionary defined cheeky as bold and saucy…they definitely are…

…warmth and sunshine…
yes…this beautiful family is all warmth and sunshine…
being around Laura is like being wrapped in a warm blanket…you just feel cozy and comfortable…and Lance’s smile is like a ray of sunshine…so it is no wonder that these two very old souls found their way to one another.
…and their babies…{sigh}…two of the most precious little people you will ever meet. Miss Ainsley has more personality than Richard Simmons and Dolly Parton combined…
…I just adore her little spirit…
…so it is no wonder that I just want to sing from the mountaintops how much I loved their family shoot. We dyed eggs, read Easter bunny books, picked someone else’s flowers…lovely…just a lovely time.
