…Savor…
…the small things. There is no better day than one filled with lots and lots of small things. The briskness of the morning air. That first scent of the coffee brewing. Little kisses on my cheek as I begin to wake. The bubbling laughter of my children playing. The wind blowing through my car window. My old favorite song on the radio, and remembering why I loved it. My husbands cackle when he “thinks” he is funny. The unexpected kiss from Luke. Stella’s all too enthusiatic compliment on whatever I am wearing. A million little things that make my life rich and full.
Most days I don’t know if I am coming or going…can’t recall my age or the year I was married without serious contemplation…and have no idea if I will get the first half of my to do list completed…
but I do know a “moment” when it comes to me…and you can bet that I am savoring it…as fleeting as it may be, and thanking God I was around for it.

It was so great getting to know each and every one of you this weekend. I am truly thankful for all of my clients…old and new!

…sand, salt-water taffy, and sublime happiness…
all three rolled into one weekend…it was so wonderful. I kicked off the weeknd with a little guy named Mason. How freakin cute is he…I can’t wait to meet his soon to be born little sis too!
Then we hit up the SEMO district fair…me, my hubby, my kids, my nephew, my mom, my dad, my stepmom, and little sis….WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!!! My parents divorced when I was 5, but still get along. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to do things with BOTH my parents. So many couples get divorced and have bitter relationships. I can’t tell you how much it blesses my heart that they are all friends( mom, dad, step-parents). It so nice to have everyone I love in the same place…well not everyone…but you get my drift. I gorged myself on gyros, home made potato chips, SALT WATER TAFFY, cotton candy, and a few adult beverages…hmmmm hnnnnn. hated myself Saturday 
I was supposed to have another gorgeous senior session…but mother nature had other ideas. We will reschedule and you will get to meet her…just not this week.
but….you do get to meet these little bundles of sweetness! Meet Ainsley and her new baby brother Finn.

….Orange…
this was the topic of much of today’s conversation with the beautiful Princess Karis….
We saw an orange tractor…we have orange hair…there was orange on Karis’s dress…There were many lovely things that were adorned with the color orange. My most favorite, I would have to say, was Princess Karis’s head….although we both agree it is preferably called strawberry blonde!
This little one crawled up into my lap and let me wipe away her tears. Such a blessing to get to know her….
yes…it was a fabo session, but what is a wonderful session without tears???
uneventful and just no fun if you ask me…
Thank you Princess Karis for a wonderful afternoon! It was so nice to meet you…

……. I am my own art…
So on my way home from a shoot this evening I saw this bumper sticker…”I am my own art” I can not express to you how much of an impact those 5 little words had on me. How simple…yet how profound…
No matter what we have come from…or where we have been…no matter what outside influences have attemped to shape us…we are our own creations. We are what we want to be…whether it be complacent or compelling, outspoken or obliging…we ARE our OWN art…
If you don’t like what you have created…start over…
there is no better time than today…
…put your art out into the world for all to see…
your smile, your enthusiasm, your knowledge, your grace, your clumsiness, your laughter, your humor, your style, your humanity, your green thumb…or lack thereof…, your special recipe, your touch, your spirituality, your open-mindedness, your tolerence, your patience, your insanity , your song, your poem, your two-step…
your ability to be exactly who you are…a work of art!
I have to note that the bumper sticker right next to that one said “My cat is the only one who really understands me” I bet that work of art was a very interesting one indeed

Many other things are falling apart around me…but this blog sure did come together…
I should note…nothing important in the grand scheme of things…just my desk(the keyboard won’t roll out, so it is sitting on my lap:()…and the curtains( I am wearing my sunglasses to type and edit YIKES)…oh and my body( Neighbor Jeff and I had a jump-rope-a-thon last night…yours truly won)
