…My first wedding…
When Laura emailed me and asked me if I would be interested in second shooting for her wedding…”I thought…hmmnn…why not?? It’s an excuse to get to Cape.” Little did I know that it would be a life changing experience!
I had the absolute pleasure of working with James Christianson…his talent, humbleness, enthusiasm, and zest for life made the experience that much more fantastic!
After speaking with Laura I knew she was going a different route than the traditional bride. No bridesmaids, cake cutting, and a very non-traditional champagne toast during the ceremony were all things I expected…I did not however expect to be laughing my tail off in the midst of the ceremony. Laura had to promise to let Andrew watch sports on Sunday and Andrew has to promise to leave the TV on the E! channel. It was so different and oh so PERFECT…
The forcast had been calling for rain all week. But with the grace of God the heavens parted and the most beautiful light came streaming through…just as we started the portraits.
Laura and Andrew decided to have their first sight of one another be an experice between the two of them(and of course James and I) before the ceremony. I would not recommend it any other way for this reason…check out these pics of their first peekie peekie.

The ceremony was held on the 13th hole at the Dalhousie Golf Course in Cape Girardeau. seriously??? can you believe that?
The guest were all given golf carts to drive out to the hole…we took more pics while we waited….
This was the light on one side of the sky…
and this was what it looked like on the other…seriously. Laura looked calm as a cat…I was freakin out(on the inside ;0)
okay before this turns into the longest post on the face of the planet…look at this delectable food…catered by the Dalhousie event staff.

…On the road again…

Did I mention how much I love Mighigan…my last road trip there was unforgettable…so I am ridiculously excited to be going again…
but oh how I LOATHE flying…I really try to act like I am not jumping out of my skin…heaven forbid I freak everyone on the plane out…but on the inside I am writhing in misery…
for those of you waiting on sneak peeks…I will try tonight…if not, then Wednesday when I get back…promise!

…A Thank you note…
…to each and every one of my wonderful clients. It is my absolute pleasure working with you all! I am so grateful of the fact that I get to be the one to capture your beautiful children in ways you will treasure for your entire lives. I get to peek into to their little souls and you get to take that glimpse and hang it on your walls to admire every morning, night, and all the moments in between. It truly is a special job and I am so happy to be the one to do it.
So thank you.
It was a busy weekend. Lots of beautiful little souls around these parts.
