…JC in the OC…part deux…
Did I mention last time what a fabulous time it was?? The team that Jessica worked with for the styling of the shooting part of the workshop was amazing. I just tremble when I think of all the creativity that is floating around in their minds. The best thing about creativity is bringing to fruition…and what lucky individuals to have each other for support…
Here is a list of all the fabulous minds that put together such lovely scenery while we photographers went absolutelty out of our minds…well…maybe just a few of us….;)

…Matilda Jane…Hammond Bay…
So I’m sure you read a while ago about my trip to Florida with Denise and the gang for the Matilda Jane spring line shoot. A small recap…Luke puked in the airport, it was 32 degrees, I lost severely in Apples to Apples, were were all freezing…but we had a freaking fabulous time. The models were amazing and I was in the company of dear friends…what else could I ask for???
This line is AMAZING…how Denise does this over and over is beyond me…and if you ask me…in the world of children’s clothing she is a revolutionary…the look of girls clothing has changed dramatically since the beginning of Matilda Jane and I think that is mostly due to her genious….I know Denise is completely embarrassed now…
Anyway, here are some of my favs from the shoot. If you like what you see, head on over the the Matilda Jane website and get some for a little or big girl you know.

Stay tuned…more fabulousness from the Jessica Claire workshop coming up this week!

…JC in the OC… just a small introduction…
On the plane ride home, as I was gazing out the window at the splendor of the Grand Canyon, wishing with every ounce of me that my beautiful
family was there with me, I realized I am a total contradiction. Like so many others I am plagued with insecurities about my abilities,
my humanity…my reflection but when it comes to being alone I am completely confident… I actually thrive off walking alone down a crowded street, or going to the movies by myself and bawling my eyes out with strangers on each side…
I think perhaps it’s the romance and independence of it all…
I have no insecurities when it comes to just…being me…but so many when it comes to being comfortable with me…it makes no sense… I know…
well when it comes to just…being…I don’t think I have ever seen any couple as comfortable being with eachother as these two. Braedon was SO in love with Lindsey and it was the sweetest thing my eyes have ever beheld.
They were the models for Jessica Claire’s Wedding Workshop which I attended this week and just one knot in the braid of magic that made this workshop so fantastic. Over the next week I will be shaing all the things that inspired me about this workshop. 3 posts…one about the moments, one about the connections, and one about the details…so keep checking back…
now…I just got home tonight…I am tired, dirty, and Shakespeare in Love is on…so I’m just sharing one tonight…
and in the words of Shakespeare in Love…”a lady…whose soul is greater than the ocean, and her spirit stronger than the sea’s embrace”
Meet Lindsay and her Braedon…

yeah…you want to know who did those flowers for Jessica…check back tomorrow…

…Black and White…
…so I’m gonna be honest and out myself…I have been a super grouch lately. For reasons out of my control, albeit,(ladies you know what I mean)…but nonetheless…CRAB APPLE MICHELLE…
By the end of Friday I was at my wits end…nothing was going to make my dreary night better… As hard as Danny was trying, it just wasn’t helping. He made a fire, poured me a beer…still no smiling Michelle. Then Stella accidentally turned off the lights…something so simple, completely transformed my mood. Suddenly the music sounded better, my beer tasted sweeter, and the fire was much more cozy.
We ended up having the most fabulously wonderful night. We danced and laughed and played with glowsticks by the warmth of the fire for hours…oh what a wonderful night it was! Thanks my dearest ones.
Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing these two beautiful sisters. As far as coloring goes they are on opposite ends of the spectrum…one with blonde hair and the other with black hair, and even though they have only had 11 days to get to know eachother, I could tell they were going to best friends one day!

…25 random thoughts in no particular order written over a series of days…and a baby…
1. I think it is hilarious that my kids can smell chocolate on my breath from 5 feet away…
2. Candlebox, Bush, Smashing Pumkins, Lenny Kravitz, and Bob Marley will always have a special place in my heart…
3. I LOVE Reality Bites…let’s face it…nobody does dirty boy better than Ethan Hawke…
4. Reading really does expand my vocabulary…you wouldn’t think it, but trashy Harelquin romance novels are written by very verbally competent folks.
5. I would dance all night long if people would just LET me…but apparently at some point my a** slapping becomes unbearable…
6. 4 hours into my honeymoon, I split my foot open and couldn’t wear my cute shoes all week…:(
7. Toby Keith called me up on stage once…well actually it was at my high school, so it was onto the gymnasium floor, and instead of walking down the steps…I rolled down them…Thank you Kara.
8. I was a member of several “clubs” in college…none were academic in nature…;)
9. In high school I was vice president of the FHA though…oh yeah…
10. I think I sound really good when I kareoke…”I touch myself” is a must and if I’m on a role “Betty Davis Eyes” is right after…watch out Kelly Clarkson.
11. I still believed in Santa Claus well into high school.
12. I used to sleep walk as a child. I would actually get up and watch tv…have conversations…then have no recollecton of it the next day. I hear this is pretty normal, but it just sounds like a bad 70′s horror film to me.
13. I still kinda believe in Santa…just a little…
14. I remember the day I met Danny…the entire day with absolute clarity…you want me to recount the entire day for you???
15. I once hauled a skeleton home…thought I had found a T-Rex…turned out to be a cow…but man were those thoughts of the Smithsonian inspiring for a 7 year old…
16. Most of my childhood was spent with no shoes on…
17. Life has taught me some really hard lessons, but God has always surrounded me with people who made them bearable. Thank you to each and every one of you.
18. I am a hugger…and I over use the words sweetie, sunshine, baby, hun, precious and lovie…
19. I am annoyingly optimistic…I will tell you the good side of every situation even when you REALLY don’t want to hear it…
20. Sometimes…when no one is looking…I pretend I am Ramona Quimby, Age 8.
21. Used to have Anne of Green Gables movie-a-thons when I was younger…haven’t done this in a while and really think it is time again.
21. All the best characters in books had red hair and freckles…Ramona, Anne, Strawberry Shortcake…so why was I still made fun of???
22. I am not afraid to say that my children gave me a purpose in this life…actually I am very proud of it.
23. I don’t dream of being famous, or rich, or tauted…I just dream of being a part of my loved ones lives until I am old and wrinkly…and putting happiness out into this world.
24.I had hair like Joey MacIntyre until I was in 7th grade…it didn’t get better after that…I promise.
25. I love the way music comes in through my ear and then comes out of every cell of my body…I freakin love music…
26. Yes, you read that right…through my ear…I am stone deaf in the other…always have been…lol
and if you made it through all that nonsense then prepare yourself for TOTAL sweetness…
Sometimes newborn sessions can be long and exhausting for new parents. I realize that after having a baby the last you want to do is venture out and get pictures right away…but let me stress how SPECIAL they are. No hospital photographer is going to take pictures of your newborn the way I will. I put lots of TLC into my sessions…both during and after, so new parents will never forget this fleeting and wonderful time…scroll down to see what I mean…

Thanks for taking the time for this ridiculously long post…;)
