…the skirt…
…so I jump out of the car to meet one of my 2010 couples Carrie and Eric for their engagement session and the first thing I notice is Carrie’s skirt…
My favorite scene from one of my favorite movie’s…P.S. I love you…you know the part where she is standing in the park in Ireland and he makes the comment about how he had never seen so many colors on a girl before. I have always remembered Hillary Swank’s outfit there…I loved it…the scarf, the colors…and here Carrie had almost replicated her look without even knowing it…Carrie you are a girl after my own heart…love your style.
While Carrie and I have style in common, we also have a barrage of embarrasing moments in our repertoire. Mine I won’t share, but HA Carrie…I’m sharing yours…although I will keep it short.
Eric lovingly shared the tale of their first date. Imagine Carrie…meticulously planning and executing a sweet little dinner scene(or something of the sort) when she got a foot stuck in a blanket and not so gracefully and quite forcefully (albeit painfully)plunged head first into the closet. The best part of this story is that Carrie said Eric didn’t say a word about it. She just got up and went about doing whatever it was she was doing and he pretended it didn’t happen…ROFLMAO….ahhh the joys of that uncomfortable stage in a new relationship…
That stage is WAY gone in the Huesgen household…;)
Anyway, we had a delightfully FREEZING time on this engagement shoot…Thanks Carrie and Eric…I can’t wait for your wedding in September at the wonderful Crowne Valley Winery.

Now aren’t they just a gorgeous adorable couple???
Don’t forget all you out of town folks…I do travel for weddings;)

….RIP Grandpa Brady…
…on March 17, 2010 my dear Grandpa Brady exited this life and moved onward into the unknown. He was a man of few words and many experiences. He loved music and his family. He served as a guard for General MacArther, collected our fallen soldiers from the battlefields of the Korean War, and rarely spoke of those experiences. To protect and to provide was his life…I know he is doing so in the next one as well. We miss and love you Grandpa. You leave behind a legacy of passion, love and fierce loyalty.

…humbled…
…I spend most of my days walking through this world with a smile on my face and a heart full of thankfulness. Thankfulness for my healthy family, our home, our love for each other, our jobs. Every once in a while it all sneaks up on me and I can’t help but think…”my life is too perfect, the bottom is going to fall out”…Panic sets in…and I go through lots of scenarios in my head until I convince myself…Just be thankful for the here and now. It’s the only thing that you can be sure of.
Well I recently met another mother who was faced with this scenario, only hers wasn’t just in her head…it actually happened. A parents worst nightmare. Doctors told her that her beautiful baby boy Charlie had cystic fibrosis. An eventually fatal disease.
I am humbled and honored to have met this family and to be able to assist in their search for a cure. To read more about their story or to help in their search go here http://www.cfangels.org/charlie.html
Now I get to introduce you to Charlie and his baby sister Mya…two of the sweetest little souls I have ever encountered.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of these special little people’s lives…

( Mar 18th, 2010 3:56 pm)sent it too fast… you did such a good job at capturing his spirit. mom will always cherish it! ( Mar 17th, 2010 6:24 pm)look at those pieces of love!!!!!! gorgeous! ( Mar 17th, 2010 6:23 pm)such beauty you captured! I read his story…breaks my heart, he’ll be in my prayers. ( Mar 16th, 2010 2:06 am)These are beautiful. ( Mar 16th, 2010 12:57 am)I just love all of these lovely children, their expressions, their soul, and best of all, your sensitive capture. Lovely work. ( Mar 13th, 2010 10:40 am)I read your blog about the blue cabinets. Tell your partner/friend/husband that I am a realtor, and I think you will be fine with blue cabinets regarding re-sale. As long as your improvements are tasteful and coordinate with the rest of your kitchen, you won’t have anything to worry about. Not to mention it sounds like you won’t be moving for a very long while, and by that time all your improvements will be outdated anyway! Feel free to communicate further if need be! P.S. Beautiful pictures of Charlie and Maya! ( Mar 12th, 2010 12:33 pm)beautiful michelle. Beautiful Michelle…such heart warming images! ( Mar 9th, 2010 10:02 pm)Oh poor mama… Oh – that third image just stopped me in my tracks. Soulful perfection. ( Mar 9th, 2010 9:26 pm)OMG, Michelle! Beautiful images. And that shot of them together ? (gasp) Unbelievable. ( Mar 9th, 2010 3:54 pm) |

…JC in the OC…just a few more…
Wow what a whirlwind of a week it has been. I actually thought today was Thurday for a good hunk of the afternoon…thank God for iphone. Now all I gotta do it look at my phone and see the date…it was NOT that easy on my old phone…what kind of phone was it again??? Hmmn…like they say…outta sight outta mind…at least when it comes to old electronics…
I’ve decided I want blue kitchen cabinets and Danny thinks I am completely nuts…he always lets me do what I want but he feels very strongly about not getting blue cabinets. You’ve seen Marley and Me right??? Well in their first house the kitchen cabinets were blue and they had the glass doors…I need them. I am a very colorful soul. I love color. My cabinets are brown…it just doesn’t suit me. Danny says if we ever sell the house no one will buy it if we have blue cabinets…I say…who the frig cares??? Am I not going to surround myself with something that makes me happy because one day someone else may not like it…COME ON…I will triumph
Did I mention we don’t plan on ever moving from this house…so that kinda blows his reason right out of the water. If anyone finds any cool pics of kitchens with blue cabinets send them my way…think Marley and Me….go watch it and see what I mean.
Now after the blabbling…I have a few more pics to share.
Here are all the yummy vendors again…such brilliant minds…
