…Jen and Erich…
One of the best things about shooting weddings is that I get to learn about people who love each other…and how that love came to be…
Jennifer and Erich began dating in high school, but knew each other long before then…their mothers have been best friends since high school…how neato is that??
and not only do they love each other…but their families LOVE them together…adoration for the individuals they were and the wedded couple they now are, was felt from every direction and I am so thankful for having been a part of it all.
Here is a little peek into the gorgeous day of their nuptials…

…it’s the in between that has always been my favorite part.
…between the first bite and the last…
…a rolling laughter that finally tapers to a chuckle…
…the second when you realize your about to be kissed and the moment it actually happens…

…Vintage inspired wedding shoot…
everytime I browse through wedding blogs I see these styled shoots that are so beautiful. One day I thought to myself…we mid-America folks can do that too!! So I called up Laurie and then sent out lots of emails and phone calls until the perfect team was assembled and a clear vision was in mind.
Months of planning and collaborating went into this shoot…and when the day finally came, the weather man said it was supposed to thunderstorm all….day….long….
I wanted to cry…all this hard work…we couldn’t back out now…so we moved forward with smiles on our faces the entire time thinking to ourselves we were totally SOL…
I am pleased to inform you that it did not rain one single drop the entire day…as a matter of fact there was sunshine all around!

…the Mentorshop…
So the Mentorshop finally took place this last weekend…and words can not express how much fun it was!! 10 Amazing photographers from all across the United States came to sweltering humid Missouri for the weekend…but hey, Sunday the weather was dreamy.
We learned, we laughed, we inspired, but most important, we all left with 10 new friends.
