…storytime…
…you know what I love most about photographing kids?? They always have a story to tell.
They tell it with their eyes and their smiles, their laughter and their spontaneous wild ways. They wear their stories on their sleeves.
As we get older we hide our stories…or at least we don’t share them as much as we should. Our stories might not be hollywood movie material, but darn it, they are worth sharing.
Check out these stories and be inspired to go and share yours…and if you don’t feel like you have any to share…then go out and live one.

…notions of green…
I can smell spring in the air. Just a lingering scent though. It keeps teasing me. It will waft into my home and float out before I’ve even had a chance for it to register. I know it is on the horizon though. I just keep going on with the closet tango for now…sweaters up, sweaters down, boots on and stomp around.
I’m still riding the high from early February when I had the ultimate pleasure of sitting on my back porch in my favorite shorts with my favorite beer…and favorite guy…;)
We’re on the last stretch though Missourians…hold on to your flip-flops…
and while your at it check out these lovely people…
Meaghan and Kerry tie the knot in June. I just know their wedding is going to be uber fabulous. You should see Meaghan’s style boards.

and this little miss…such a sweet sweet child…

stay tuned…I will be sharing all my favs from Annie Laurie’s Next Top Model contest very soon!

…Colleen and Patrick…
…married…
As I entered the farmhouse Saturday morning I was immediately greeting by smiles and loud voices, overjoyed with excitement of the day ahead. Patter, who is a fabulous chef, was busy in the kitchen making the most scrumtious brunch you could imagine. Children trotted to and fro, bridesmaids went up and down the stairs in search of last minute items. I began to wander around the sweet little farmhouse taking pictures of whatever tickled my fancy. I wandered into an upstairs bedroom and found the sweetest little drawing on the wall. The words underneath are what stayed with me the rest of the day.
“If there weren’t a day after tomorrow”

Colleen and Patter know this…they live it, they breathe it, they laugh it, they cry it, they dance it, and they sing it at the top of their lungs…they will never ever forget it.
Patter isn’t afaid to love Colleen. He stayed up till the wee hours of morn, making bridesmaid necklaces with her, and didn’t care if his friends knew. Cha-Ching. He brings her gifts on Happy Tuesday. K- Pow. He makes her goumet meals. Sa-weeet!
Colleen could not be more deserving of his adoration. She found her prince. She dreamt him up one day in a cardboard castle and married him one cold day in February.
Congratulations you two! Have fun in New Zealand!!

are they not the happiest couple you’ve ever seen?

I’ve never had a couple smash the cake at each other…way to smash Browdy’s!! The reception was a rockin party…full of male bonding and slam dunks…who ever coined the term “white boys can’t jump” anyway? Add in a guy who really wants a garter…you’ve got a recipe for sucess and I have the picture to prove it…lol!!

Thanks for including me in your wedding day!! Congratulations to both the O’brien’s and the Browdy’s!!
