…yellow…
everytime I see that word I no longer think of the color. My mind immediately goes to the song “yellow” by Coldplay. Love it.
The color yellow could not have been more lovely during this session. Yellow sunlight, yellow flowers( actually I think they were weeds) but still…
I love shooting other photographers and their family, but boy is it nerve wracking. Miss Lisa and her hubby Jon are gorgeous, and so is their bub Kaden. Thank you for trusting me to take on this task. Hopefully you think the results are worth the hot bed of ticks I made you sit in…;)

…Charlie’s Angels…
do you remember this little guy? You can find his story again here. It’s a story no parent wants to watch unfold with their child. Charlie has Cystic Fibrosis. His life expectancy doesn’t go beyond 40. How old are you? Could you imagine?
Now he is a beautiful boy. He loves frogs, his sister…life in general. But there is a battle in store for him. A fight between him and his body. Help him win.
You can start be attending Charlie’s Angels Kick-off Silent Auction. I am donating an awesome prize!
It’s May 12 at Schlafly’s Tap Room in the upstairs Club room from 5:30 to 9:30.

…Beautiful child…
…who knows that song?? I love it so. I have listened to it a dozen times today. While the actual meaning of the song has nothing to do with one’s child, at least the title seems appropriate for today’s post. Beautiful child…
It’s crazy how fast they grow. One day they won’t be that sweet little boy who who didn’t want to sit anywhere but your lap. Or the beautiful little girl who wants to paint your toenails some RIDICULOUS Justin Beiber certified nail color. I try to approach each session with that in mind. Capture them as they are. who they are…because they will grow into someone different some day.
So Genevieve, Jeff, Marty, enjoy your beautiful child…

…What moves you…
…what moves you…? Inspires you…? Makes you want to be better than you are…? For me it is not one thing…it’s everything really. kindness, smiles, laughter, color, light, passion, love. They are the same to me. No one thing can possess just one of them. When you laugh your cheeks fill with color. Light reflects off of the curves of a body, projecting the feeling of a moment. Inspiration can come from anywhere…anything. You just have to have your eyes open when it presents itself.
and to be clear, I’m not just talking about photography. I’m talking about life too. Be inspired; be happy with what is around you. Find happiness and love and laughter and light where you dwell. Make it a habit of opening your eyes to the life around you. Beauty awaits.
The moment we stepped out of the car and I met Casey for the first time, I was totally inspired. She has such a feminine physique. Beautiful collar bones and slender hands and an inner beauty to match the outward one. It’s no wonder that Jason is completely smitten. Looking so forward to their wedding in October!! Despite the INSANE wind…I absolutely adored their session!
and this sweet family with the most precious little girls. Completely and totally adored big sis. The first thing she did was hug me. Love that!

…Gina and Andrew…
…engaged…
Besides their obvious gorgeousness, this couple was so wonderful to work with. Up for anything and prepared with cute little props. You could just tell they adore each other. So inspiring. Just look at the sweet little moments, and they way Andrew would so gently place his hands at the small of Gina’s back.
Unfortunately, I am booked on their wedding date, but I am so happy we had this engagement shoot. The wind, although ferocious, made for some pretty spectacular moments!!!
Oh, and I was seriously obsessed with Gina’s legs…I think I have like 5 pictures of them…lol!
