Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a more eventful New Year’s Eve than I did.  I sat around in pajama’s, watched Angels & Demons with Tom Hanks( it is still hard to watch him in serious movies after seeing BIG 20 years ago), was attacked by my fireplace (holes in the carpet to prove it), and forced myself to turn on the countdown at 15 seconds till.  The moment overcame me though and I lept of the couch and started jumping around and screaming…my poor son thought I had lost my mind(SERIOUSLY)…I then realized he has never rang in a New Year before, he’s always slept through them, so he just didn’t know that is what EVERYONE does at midnight no matter where you are in the world.  Now he knows.

Well the New Year came in with a slump, but 2009 went out with a bang!! Stella was my last session of 2009, actually on December 31st.  You know she had me at…her name…but she was not going to stop there.  She slept the ENTIRE session…didn’t even wake up when I got her undressed.  Then she actually giggled at me. I was arranging her in her slumber and touched her foot and I kid you not she let out the sweetest little giggle I have ever heard coupled with the cutest little newborn grin ever…I could NOT BELIEVE it…

I thought…eh…newborn fluke…sometimes they just do crazy stuff.  Well I got all my shots and said “okay…let’s wake the little doll up and get some open eye shots” and I began to talk to her.  That 9 day old baby opened her eyes and started smiling at me while I was talking to her…like a 3 month old…I have the picture to prove it…Meet the most happy newborn I have ever seen…Stella…
