…you would think…
going to Florida for a spring shoot would be perfect…
you would think…
it would be 65 degrees… not 35
you would think…
this would ruin our good time…(not a friggin chance)
you would think…
all the little models would complain complain complain…(not so)
We had the absolute best time…hands down! Lynette cooked some amazing food. Carla brought some visual treats…and Denise got the most amazing house my eyes have ever beheld…too bad I’m a dork and didn’t take one single picture of it.
Well, we did venture down to the beach our last day to just kick around and have some fun. Too bad it was 28 degrees and within 5 minutes my face was frozen in what appeared to be a grimace( half smile half painful frown)
I did snap some pics of the kids while we were running trying to stay warm. I hate to run…but I seriously could have ran 4 miles without stopping…my legs were numb…but alas my lungs were frozen…maybe next time
Serioulsy though…I am in awe of Denise’s sheer creative ability. She is often imitated but never duplicated. Just wait till you see this Spring line…oh and the women’s…TO DIE FOR…
Thanks Denise, David, Joe, Gabe(who now has a crush on Stella), Lynette, Kylee, Sam, and Kayla…we had the BEST time!
and on a bitter note…I still think I should have won Apples to Apples…my word came in second more times than you all won combined…;)

…2010…
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a more eventful New Year’s Eve than I did. I sat around in pajama’s, watched Angels & Demons with Tom Hanks( it is still hard to watch him in serious movies after seeing BIG 20 years ago), was attacked by my fireplace (holes in the carpet to prove it), and forced myself to turn on the countdown at 15 seconds till. The moment overcame me though and I lept of the couch and started jumping around and screaming…my poor son thought I had lost my mind(SERIOUSLY)…I then realized he has never rang in a New Year before, he’s always slept through them, so he just didn’t know that is what EVERYONE does at midnight no matter where you are in the world. Now he knows.
Well the New Year came in with a slump, but 2009 went out with a bang!! Stella was my last session of 2009, actually on December 31st. You know she had me at…her name…but she was not going to stop there. She slept the ENTIRE session…didn’t even wake up when I got her undressed. Then she actually giggled at me. I was arranging her in her slumber and touched her foot and I kid you not she let out the sweetest little giggle I have ever heard coupled with the cutest little newborn grin ever…I could NOT BELIEVE it…
I thought…eh…newborn fluke…sometimes they just do crazy stuff. Well I got all my shots and said “okay…let’s wake the little doll up and get some open eye shots” and I began to talk to her. That 9 day old baby opened her eyes and started smiling at me while I was talking to her…like a 3 month old…I have the picture to prove it…Meet the most happy newborn I have ever seen…Stella…
I wish everyone a happy, healthy, blessed 2010. This year focus on the little things you can do to make our world a better place…

…Model search…
First off, I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas…I, unfortunately was on the naughty list…Santa didn’t bring me a darn thing.
…Just kidding…love, a healthy family, peace and happiness are all I asked for…and I have it.
So the business…
I will be on a catalog shoot January 7th, 8th, and 9th in Watercolor, FL
What I need:
(2) 4-5 year old girl models
(2) 7-8 year old girl models
I am looking for little girls who can take direction well but have lots of personality in front of the camera!
Models will be paid with clothing from the line they will be modeling. Each model will only be required for one day of shooting for approximately 2-4 hours. Models parents will have to provide transportation to the location in or near Watercolor, FL. Specific details will be released closer to the date but for now I need to know…are you in?
If you are in the area and are available please send me an email to mlh40804@yahoo.com with the title Model Search. In the email tell me your daughters age, size, shoe size and attach a recent pic. I will send you an email if we need you within the week.

…Matilda Jane…
so this summer my dear wonderful friend Denise (whom I haven’t chatted with lately hint hint I know you are reading), the dapper David, and adorable Demarchis boys came to the Lou to shoot the fall line of Matilda Jane. To say it was fun is an understatment…I would have to say the highlight was Denise’s car dying out in the middle of no where(basically)! Oh and you should have seen Stella and Gabe…it was like the first time fire met water…don’t know who would be the fire though, that ’s a tough call.
The models were great, the weather was gorgeous and of course the line was to die for… you already know this as it came out a while ago and can be found here …just in time for Christmas. I have been itching to show some of the shots from that shoot for a while…so without further ado…
and I have to add that I am reeling with excitement to see the spring line…maybe I’ll get to see it before you…who know’s…;)
