…Midwest’s got talent…
…so not only is this couple crazy gorgeous…they are crazy talented. Hope and Therapy is their band…and they can rock it like no other. I am so honored they choose me to be their wedding day photog. I can’t wait for their wedding on the bluffs on Alton. IL. In the meantime, how about some from their engagement shoot. I started preparing this blog and realized I couldn’t share all of their pics…just be on the lookout…I am updating my wedding website to showcase all of my engagements soon…it is on my Mega-to-do-list.
Next meet Miss Ashley. She is representd by Global Management 101. She can act, sing, model…she’s got many talents packed behind her stunning beauty.
and how about this beautiful little thang…she hasn’t quite developed her arsenal of talents yet…but I think it is fair to say she may be the cutest toddler around…

…that time of year again…
…and I couldn’t welcome it more!!! Had such a busy week I can’t even share it all in one blog post…babies, and toddlers, and couples…OH MY…
I’ll just get right down to it…I had two precious newborns this week and they BOTH had the most darling names…Lola and Isla…Parents are getting real good with the baby naming…real good…it makes me happy. Without futher ado…
Meet Lola…is that toe shot not the sweetest thing?…next to Lola of course…;)
and then her (soon to be best friend)…precious Isla…and I actually don’t think they live too far apart…
and then this little family was so darn sweet. Mom and Dad were dressed so perfectly to compliment little Adeline (yes, another fantastic name) and her dress. Everyone knows I am partial to curly headed kids and this little one was after my own heart…
Next was this gorgeous couple…we weren’t sure this session was going to happen…but alas it did…and I am so glad for it…thank you Mother Nature 
Lejla is planning the wedding all the way from Miami…come to think of it…5 of my brides are planning weddings here from far way places…see St. Louis really does rock!!!

…Kate and Ryan…engaged…
…so I have a story for you all next week…a story about my horrible, no good, very bad Saturday…but this week’s post isn’t going to be about anything but these two. Kate is a ray of sunshine, with stunning blue eyes, and a heart of pure gold…Ryan is a truly chivalrous gentleman who couldn’t adore his Kate more…
…sigh…they were such a joy to hang with…and an even larger blessing to photograph…their love and adoration for eachother has me pining until I get to photograph them again on their wedding day this October…
Thanks guys for the hugs, the consoling words, the beer, the laughter, and of course the Jamison…I now have hair on my chest

…ties that bind…
…the ties that bind us together as family…whether it be love, DNA, fate, happenstance…bind us forever.
They are never broken. Perhaps worn or tethered…stretched or repressed…sometimes due to mistakes or factors beyond our control….sometimes for no good reason…just distance…and life.
and then you’re sippen on your mocha latte walking down Washington Street and you catch a glimpse of a family like this one strolling along…arms wrapped around eachother…children looking at mom and dad with giggles in their steps and bounce in their laughter…
mom and dad…so happy you can see their hearts swollen in their chests…letting their gazes linger over the faces they love so much, and you just know they are burning those moments in their memories forever…
You can’t help but stare…and smile.
They point out the hole in your own heart…
and then they inspire you…
inspire you to pick up the phone and call…or go to the destination that wasn’t in your GPS…known as home…where ever the people you call family are.
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Deb S and her amazing family. they really are amazing…each.and.every.one.
Thanks for laughing with us, drinking with us, eating with us, inspiring us, and laying in the sun with us….I am so glad to consider you guys family.

…families like this…
…are what keep me going. This family is a repeat client. They were at a function that auctioned off a gift certificate for a session and ended up paying more for the gift certificate than it was actually valued at. Now I’m sure the donation to the school had a lot to do with it, but I also like to think it had something to do with the value they place in what I do. They value not just pictures of their children, but the artful keepsakes that I work so hard to make for them. To take a look inside their children and capture all the things they love the most about them. Thanks “M” family and all the other familes out there that trust me with their family heirlooms…their children…
These two kiddos are so sweet and there was not a frown to be seen during our entire session…gotta love that!
and guess who is coming to see me this weekend…Deb S…I can’t wait!
