I love Matilda Jane as well! Of course I would love a dress for my new daughter… but if I were to nominate someone that deserves one, it would have to be my niece. Her family has been going through a difficult time (her dad, a police officer, has been fighting colon cancer for over two years now). Her mom, my sister-in-law, is a teacher and I am amazed by how well she keeps things together and makes sure her daughter has as normal and happy a life as possible. My niece is a gorgeous little 6-year-old and would look lovely in a twirly dress from MJ!

Oh my goodness do I have the sweetest set of sisters that would deserve this special treat. Their mom works tirelessly to provide just the bare minimum so understandably Christmas leaves her struggling more then usual. I have offered her to come ‘shop’ my daughters closet to pick out some outfits for her girls to wear to see santa but with one daughter being a size bigger then my own it is not the ideal thing. I know these girls would glide on air if they had their very own dresses.

well i, like every mumma, love matilda jane, as does my daughter so we would love a dress! more importantly… one of my closest friends has two lovely daughters. the youngest one was diagnosed with leukemia before she turned 2 years old! its been a rough couple of years of treatment but im so excited to say she is in remission! my daughter is 8 so we are able to give her girls all of our things which we just love to do! i have never seen such appreciative little girls… no matter how old something is, if it has a stain or its not their favourite colour, they love it anyway and are so thankful! they run to put things on when we are skyoing to show us how it looks! it just warms my heart so much… a single mum with two girls, one recently recovered from a very serious illness just doesnt have the time or the money to buy a matilda jane dress but i know it would make the girls and their mumma so happy! you can read more about avas story here http://rowetimson.com/2010/03/avas-journey/ and here http://rowetimson.com/2010/03/waiting/ and here http://rowetimson.com/2011/03/avas-journey-2. thanks so much for the opportunity!

I certainly don’t deserve your vote any more than anyone else. But all I can say is that I LOVE MJ! And, I would love to be the one able to “spread the love”. I know that I can do that in other ways, but what an amazing feeling it would be to make a little girl (or momma’s) day with a beautiful MJ dress! I would be over the moon!!!

I have nominated her in the past but did not “win…” My niece, Bella, would love some MJC. Her mom (my sister-in-law) has an autoimmune disorder which causes her to have epilepsy, brochiolitis obliterans (lung disease), and a deep vein thrombosis. My SIL has her PHD in biomedical engineering but has been unable work since becoming very ill in January 2004, when Bella was only 3 months old. She carried the disease her whole life without knowing it, and the changes to her body during pregnancy somehow caused the disease to become active. Over the past couple years, they had their home foreclosed on due to medical expenses. My brother-in-law was a music teacher, but has chosen to enter a Lutheran seminary so that he can serve others – they are living on very little money right now. They are also currently dealing with the insurance company, trying to get them to cover a surgery for my sister-in-law to reduce her seizure activity – she still has at least one seizure per day. It’s been a very difficult adjustment for their family.

They just recently moved closer to us, and it’s been so nice being able to visit with them more often! I got Bella the Jessie skirt for her birthday in October and she LOVES it. She has a skirt that matches her little cousin’s now (my daughter).

Bella is the sweetest and most adorable little girl and I love her very much – she makes everyone smile. She is so well-behaved and is very compassionate, and is very understanding when her mother cannot do the same things other moms can. She is 8 now but is tiny, so a size 6 or 8 would probably work for her. Thanks for another opportunity to make her holiday wonderful!

I would love to be a winner, not for my daughter but for a girl at her school. She is new to our school and both her parents are without jobs this holiday season. We have anonymously donated clothes to her and she was very grateful. To be able to give her and her little sister something new would warm my heart.

I would love to nominate Syd which is my friends daughter. Syd was diagnosed with cancer last year. She is now on her road to recovery but it is a tough road 🙁 After extensive treatment and staying at the hospital several months she is at home and now able to go to school and is enjoying first grade. Stacey doesn’t let Syd out of her sight and she volunteers every day. She wants to make sure Syd is still washing her hands and careful with germs. She is a wonderful 6 year old girl that just loves everything princess and that is what wearing Matilda Jane makes a little girl feel like. They are very financially strained since her older brother was also diagnosed with cancer 8 years ago and is now cancer free and a survivor! Her other brother has Type 1 diabetes. Please consider Syd and thanks for spreading the Love!

I would live to win a dress for ava’s friend- her daddy up and left one day- and a few weeks later she was diagnosed with jeuvenille diabetes. She has been fitted with an insulin pump now- but things are hard for her all around- her big sister (4th grader)has been so depressed about her little sister. We were using the the youngest jonas brother as an example of how kids can live with diabetes. She came to a show I had awhile back and loved all the skirts- but they just can’t afford it.

My wife introduced me to MJ last year. My daughter absolutely LOVES their dresses. Im in the military and we move quite a bit, but i ALWAYS make sure that there is a trunk keeper in the area. I dont know why, but MJ looks incredible on her, shes already cute, but the dresses really accentuate it.

I have always been blessed to have beautiful clothes for my daughter and my kids want for nothing. I would love to have the chance to share the love with another family whose mother has been out of work for over a year now. Her family is having a very modest christmas this year and I would love the chance to make her daughters day that much brighter with a MJ dress for each of them! I really hope if I do win this that the sizes will work for them! Im thankful the MJ tends to be very easy in that the sizes work for a couple years so fingers crossed!

Our family has had quite the year. First, my brother in law was critically injured in Afganistan, where he lost both of his legs. He has 3 amazing daughters, who have been so accepting of the situation. Just recently, my husband had to have emergency heart surgery at the young age of 30. Everyone has been so helpful and caring for our family, and it would be something I could do to return the favor, so to speak to surprise a little girl with some MJC love! Thanks for the chance at winning! :o)

For over a year now I have been seeing matilda jane clothing on various sites dreaming of owning a outfit for my daughter. I would think to myself will I like it, can I afford it. Then a few months ago I stumbled upon someone that was selling some of her daughter clothes and the prices that they were selling for was way out of my budget but she offered to send me an outfit that she was keeping for her daughter and charged me half the price I would have paid. And introduced me to the matilda jane clothing line. She anwers all my questions, sent me one of her half priced items, and has be friended me in the nicest way from across the states. I would love to give her a dress to say thank you for being so nice to a stranger. Then one of my co workers always comments on my daughters clothing, lives on a low income, and does so much to to help other people. Her mother is going back to school so she helps her financially and her cousin who was in an abusive relationship that moved in, she provides for her financially. And she is also working a full time job and going back to school with a two year old. When everyone else is well on their way buying winter clothes, she still has not bought any for her little one. She battles her weight and has low self esteem. She is a great co worker and she would help anyone. I also would like to thank her by giving her a name brand dress for her little girl that she loves more than anything in the world.

Matilda Jane has always been my favorite company when I’m choosing clothes for my little girl. The clothes fit her personality perfectly and I love what the company stands for such as the way they often do contests and giveaways to spread some LOVE! I would love a dress for my daughter and the 2 little girls that come to mind for me are ones that I met just this week. Our youth minister and his wife have been trying to have children for many years without any luck. In the past year, they’ve felt God calling them to be foster parents. They welcomed their first children this week. I am so proud that they get to minister to these sweet girls and show them the love and guidance that they truly need and deserve. I think these two little girls deserve something special to wear. They have special people in their lives now, it’s time to make them feel special as well.

I have a friend who has two daughters that would love some Tilda Jane, as her youngest daughter would say. 🙂 Her husband left his job to start a church. He is working part-time at a grocery store and she is a substitute teacher. Money is tight and I would love to be able to bless them as they struggle while following their dreams!! God Bless!!!

Heres three reasons why… Ava, Makenna & Victoria..there girls are amazing not only did two of them loose there oldest sister (11 years old ) to Cancer this past August, but they have participated in every chance to raise awareness in her memory thru Alexs Lemonade Stand & Rihannas Warriors in Purple. These girls are all amazing warriors themselves considering what they have been thru and I would love nothing more than to see a HUGE smile on there faces!

My moto lately has been “choose joy”. What a way to spread joy!!!! Even though life has been hard the past year or so, God continues to provide and keeps helping my find joy! I am still hopeful He comes through with my #1 Christmas wish….a little sibling for my daughter 🙂

I am nominating my friend Theresa who is a mother of 4. She is such a wonderful friend and she has had one heck of a year. Her oldest son was diagnosed with Histiocytois which is a rare form of cancer (he has LCH which is one type of hystiosytosis). Casey is 10 and their goal was to raise $10,000 for Hystiosytosis Association. Well not only did they meet that goal they exceeded it!! She worked her butt of raising money so her son could meet his goal. Casey is in remission now and they haven’t stopped. They are planning another large event in hopes to now raiser $11,000 for his 11th birthday.

Their family has been through so much and is doing so much to help find a cure for this disease that I think she truly deserves this reward. Through it all she has remained upbeat and positive and it always there for us when one of her friends needs support.

To Learn more please check out http://www.hystio.org or look for Team Casey on Facebook. They are such a awesome family! Please give Theresa J your vote!

Why do i deserve to win? Well i am the mom of 4 kids. the youngest being our one and only girl. After 3 boys we love dressing Zoey in Matilda Jane and we love the compliments she receives. I would love to spread the love to 2 other little girls to remind Zoey and my boys that the holidays are about giving to others and making there day a little more special 🙂

I’d love for my dd to win as she actually recently did something similar with a few of her dance friends. She picked 2 of her dresses (with tags on them even) and decided to just because give them to 2 sisters in her dance class. Both of the little girls always comment about dd’s Matilda Jane so it was perfect. Their faces were so big and smiley and my dd said it felt so good to share. The best part is these little girls are on scholarship with our dance school so never in a million years would they be able to afford MJ. I was a proud Mamma that I raised such a caring, sharing girl! If she was picked I’m sure she’d pick 2 more little girls to brighten their day with MJ!

Well, I’m not sure I really deserve to win anything:) But I do have 3 girls and lately haven’t been able to afford MJC. My husbands been laid off for most of the past 2 years so I haven’t been able to enjoy shopping like I do! I would love to win 🙂

I would love to nominate myself, but that wouldn’t be fair. We have more Matlida Jane this year than ever before. Instead I would love to win a dress for the sweetest 4 year old I know. She lost her mama earlier this year to a heart attack, and it has really crushed their family. Her mama always loved my Ava’s Matilda Jane, and dressed Sophia to the nines. She was one styling girl! Well now that daddy is in charge, that is getting neglected a little. This family could use a cheer and a reminder of their mama this holiday season.

I would love to nominate my friend Anita….she as in a bicycle accident this july and had to fight very hard for her life…..she is still slowly recovering and would love to give a little sign in her life for her daughter!

I am a stay at home that needs a new wardrobe badly. My body has changed since having three kiddos and MJC makes me feel so stylish when I wear the few pieces I have. I am slowly finding my sense of style again and would welcome a new MJ dress with excitement! Plus the HUGE opportunity to be a giver to others in this way would really be a pleasure.

  25. Maria

    December 3rd, 2011 at 11:54 pm

I would love to nominate my neighbor and her daughter. This past year they lost a devoted husband and father unexpectedly. Not only are they still reeling from his loss but they are also struggling to make ends meet – a little MJC would certainly brighten their day!

  26. Moriah @ Please Pass the Salt

    December 4th, 2011 at 12:09 am

I do get their newsletter and I probably would end up giving all three away just cause we have plenty of MJ for ourselves. LOVE this campaign! 🙂

I honestly don’t think we deserve your vote more than someone else. But I’d love the chance to win. Matilda Jane has been a big part of our lives for the past few years. My daughter loves the clothes even though she’s getting close to sizing out of them and I love how the company gives so much to others! I have a few girls in mind who can use a little Christmas cheer. Once I know what sizes I have I spread the Christmas cheer!

I would love to give away two dresses…I have a couple friends that would just die…and don’t have the mean to buy…I LOVE GIVING AWAY things to well desearving people…oh and I get to keep one too…that is just sweet!!

  29. Laura

    December 4th, 2011 at 9:31 am

I’d love to send dresses to my friend Cari for her daughter. She has six children (5 boys, 1 girl), and her home burned to the ground this past year – everybody was safe, but they lost every possession and are still not back in their new home this Christmas. She has been such an inspiration to me and I would love to give her something a little special and “extra” this season that she would not ordinarily get for herself.

  30. Gena Golden

    December 4th, 2011 at 10:56 am

I’d love to send one of the dresses to my cousin’s daughter. Without getting too personal, they haven’t had it too easy this year. Lost job, illness, and death in the family has made it hard for them to enjoy certain things in life. My cousin always comments on how much she loves my daughters matilda jane dresses and I would to be able to share the love with her too!

  31. JOYCE

    December 4th, 2011 at 11:41 am

I would love to share my dresses with some girls from church. They recently had their 4th child and I know that times are tough for them with very little to spare for extras. She admires my daughter’s clothes when we see them and I would love for her to have something special of her own. Thanks.

    December 4th, 2011 at 3:23 pm

I would love to win and keep one of the dresses for my oldest to wear and enjoy, and then pass down to her little sister. We <3 MJC in this house! The other two dresses I would donate to a very deserving orphanage in Ethiopia, where one of my friends adopted her little princess from.

  33. Erin Ross

    December 4th, 2011 at 4:24 pm

I am nominating my friend, Joanne and her three daughters, Naomi, Halle and Chloe. If you choose them I would send all three dresses to them! Without listing the entire story on your blog, they appruptly left their entire family in here and had to start over in another state. She is struggling to make new friends and so are her precious girls. Some Matilda Jane could really cheer her up!!

  34. Shelley Malicki

    December 5th, 2011 at 1:15 am

I would give the gift dresses to a little girl, named Arianna. She is the youngest of four children, the only girl in her family. She is wearing dresses everytime I see her (at her brothers’ soccer practices and games). But I know their family doesn’t have the money to afford to buy her these dresses because they are all a bit tattered and way too big on her. She’s an adorable little girl with a shining spirit, but she deserves a new dress of her own, meant just for her! So glad MJ does these wonderful things for families!

  35. Tanya Grabenhorst

    December 5th, 2011 at 1:09 pm

I would gift away the dresses to the daughters of a woman who gives my daughter something that I can not give her. A horse, along with the riding lessons. I can not give my daughter a horse and riding lessons, but a kind woman from my church can and does. She extends herself beyond what any other person usually does. Not only does my daughter look up to her, she confides in and her listens to everything that she says. While riding horese with her, my daughter shares things with her about her pre-teenage life. My daughter takes to heart the advice she shares. It is comforting to know that someone else is helping me guide my daughter in the right direction. I would share the dresses with the 2 daughters of this lovely woman who is generously sharing her life, wisdom and horses with my daughter. We all have gifts to share with one another, but everyone does not do this willing, I have found someone who does and will be a way to say thank you.

I’d give one of the dresses to a little girl who’s young father died this past summer from a sudden heart attack. They are struggling to make ends meet and this would put a huge smile on her face. the other dress I would give to a close friend of ours who has always been there for us whenever we have been through our own tragedies.

I am a social worker and I work for Child protective services with children in foster care. I have so many little girls that i work with and any of them would love a Matilda Jane dress to make them smile! I know no matter what the size, i could find two girls, from the over 350 we have in foster care right now that could use them!!!!

The person I would love to spread the love with is a close friend of mine. She has 2 daughters, and her second daughter had to be delivered very early due to an Rh factor mismatch. She also has hearing loss due to the Rh factor issues.
Angel works diligently to learn all that she can about her daughter’s condition. She travels as far as she needs (from northern Indian to Florida, often) to attend conferences on hearing loss, discuss treatment options, and meet other parents fighting the same issues.
Angel and her family are not wealthy, her husband is a farmer and they live simply to be able to afford the necessary treatments and travel.
Angel and her husband knew that they wanted a larger family. Due to the Rh mismatch, she is not able to carry a baby to term. They decided to use a surrogate instead. We just got the happy news that their surrogate is pregnant with not one baby but twins! I am so excited to have such an amazing momma as a friend. I would love to be able to spread the MJ love to her a little too. I know both of her daughters would look adorable in it!

Well I have two nominees , one a friends daughter , Ruth , and two my daughter , of course they would both get one, ( I also live above a building that uses the bottom to feed homeless and needy so I could just find another lucky lady eating !! ) Ruth is an awesome 3 yr old little girl and her parents couldn’t afford MJ , I just would love to light up her and her mothers faces !! And my little girl !! She is only 2 (Well will be next week, what a great bday present) but she LOVEs to twirl and wear ruffles and pretty dresses , I can’t afford MJ , at this moment , and I don’t beleive she shouldn’t get to look as gorgeous and adorable as other little girls because of the mistakes I have made !! She deserves it all and anything I have to try to give it to her I will !! (Including leaving embarresing info on a blog) Matilda Jane is like no other ,and I believe I can make 3 little girls faces SHINE with these dresses , and add something to their closets that they will cherish , and pass on to someone else in need 🙂 belensmama at gmail dot com

Theres a little girl in my church who doesnt have a good family life. Her parents are split up and live on opposite sides of town and they are without a vehicle. We love Matilda Jane and Id like to share with some ladies and there little girls these beautiful dresses that I know that they would never be able to buy such a great feeling and I know it would light up there faces.

  44. Abey Drew

    December 7th, 2011 at 8:45 pm

When we were little my parents would put up a giant sheet over the doorway to the family room where the Christmas tree was. I can remember waking up and having to stand and yell for my parents to wake up because their bedroom was off of the family room and amazingly enough my brother and I never peeked (they must have scared us enough not to peek!) After they woke up they would come into the kitchen and make us eat breakfast and then open out stockings all before even being able to see what Santa had left for us!

It sounds silly but it made Christmas morning so much fun. I can remember even when my brother and I were in college us asking Mom and Dad to put the sheet up for Christmas morning and getting mad when they said no!

I think my three nieces deserve your vote because their daddy is off on a mission for the Navy and they miss him terribly when he is gone. He won’t be home for Christmas, and I know they would love some MJ to brighten their holidays since he is gone. They are funny, spunky little sprites who love girly clothes. Thanks for the chance. Our military families give up a lot to protect our freedom and serve our country.

I would love to give the dresses to my next door neighbor. Their mother passed away suddenly in her sleep 4 years ago. The girls were just 1 and 4, and a brother 3. Their father is a nice guy, he is just socially challenged. He does his best, but my heart pulls for these girls. I would love to see the smiles on their faces with some pretty new dresses. The girls are now 5 and 9 and the boy is 7.

I would love to share the love with my dear friend’s children who lost their father to cancer on Christmas Eve of last year. This will be their first Christmas season without their Dad. A very tough year that could just bring some joy to the children of my dear friend Teresa.

I would LOVE one of the dresses for one of my two little girls- The other two would be gifted to: my little sister’s little girl. She is a n unemployed mom trying her best to take care of her on her own after a bitter divorce last year. This is my niece’s first Christmas without both parents together. The other dress, I would gift to a friend of mine that I have not seen in forever!! I am an MJ email subscriber.

My nominee is my sister. She deserves to win because she JUST gave birth to twin girls. She already has a 1-year-old sweetheart at home. Yes, that’s right- three little girls under the age of 14 months. Yikes! Makes me light-headed every time I think about it. Plus, imagine the bank book trying to keep them clothed and cute! They’re already on a tight budget due to job situations and tuition debt over earning new degrees to get out of aforementioned job situations. I know this mama would swoon over Matilda Jane dresses and be so thankful! She deserves some <3 love <3!
